Harry Carey

Born 16 January 1878 in The Bronx, New York, USA, as Henry DeWitt Carey Jr.
Died 21 September 1947 in Brentwood, California, USA, of coronary thrombosis, lung cancer and emphysema.

Married Clare Enola Clarkson, 26 June 1901; divorced.
Married actress Fern Foster, 8 November 1916; divorced, 15 July 1919.
Married actress Olive Fuller Golden, 5 January 1920; until Harry’s death, 21 September 1947;
son, actor Henry George Carey (screen name Harry Carey Jr.), born 16 May 1921; one other child.

Harry Carey began his career as a stage actor. He began film work in 1909. Worked for Biograph Company and The Universal Film Manufacturing Company, Incorporated, from 1909 through circa 1919.
