Died 8 August 1958 in Montréal, Québec, Canada, possible suicide.

Daughter of actor Richard Bennett and actress Adrienne Morrison;
sister of actress Constance Bennett and actress Joan Bennett.

Married singer and actor Morton Downey, 28 January 1929; divorced, 4 June 1941;
son, Sean Morton Downey Jr., born 9 December 1933; daughter, Lorelle Ann Downey; three other children.
Married Jack Randall, 7 June 1941, until Jack’s death, 16 July 1945.
Married Laurent Surprenant, 1954, until Barbara’s death, 8 August 1958.

Barbara Bennett began as film extra in her father’s films. Became stage dancer.
